With a background in textile engineering and years of hands-on experience in home textiles, Defne combines technical expertise with a sharp eye for quality and detail. From product development to production oversight, she ensures every item meets the highest standards — both in craftsmanship and sustainability.

Driven by a passion for innovation and thoughtful design, Defne plays a key role in guiding Makrosourcing’s strategic direction while staying closely involved in daily operations. Her understanding of fibers, finishes, and functionality helps turn creative concepts into beautifully made products that clients trust.

When she’s not reviewing samples or optimizing production processes, she’s likely planning the next collaboration — or sneaking treats to Oreo, the real boss of the team.

Co-Founder & Finance Director

With over 15 years of experience in finance and business management, Onur brings structure, strategy, and a steady hand to Makrosourcing’s operations. As Finance Director, he oversees the company’s financial planning, partnerships, and long-term growth — making sure everything adds up behind the scenes.

Onur’s analytical mindset and calm leadership help guide the team through both everyday decisions and big-picture planning. He’s also the go-to person for spreadsheets, budgets, and making sure we never run out of coffee.

Off the clock, he proudly holds the title of Oreo’s dad — a role that comes with its own responsibilities, like fetch, walks, and keeping the treat jar full.

CHO- Chief Happiness Officer

As the official Chief Happiness Officer, Oreo brings daily doses of joy, balance, and tail wags to Makrosourcing’s spirit. Though not involved in textile production or finance, his presence plays a key role in team morale and general well-being.

Oreo’s specialties include stress relief, reminding everyone to take breaks, and keeping things light even during the busiest seasons. He takes his motivational duties seriously — especially when it comes to snack breaks and nap strategies.

When not supervising from afar, Oreo enjoys walks, chasing leaves, and proudly representing the heart behind the team. (He also happens to be Onur’s most loyal co-worker and sidekick.)
